Signs Agreement with Research Center of South Korea
On 9 May, the Vice - President of IPP, Prof. Carlos Ramos, and Hyun Yoe, Director of AITCRC ( Center for Research on Convergence of Information Technology for the Agri-Food Sector ), signed in Suncheon a collaboration agreement in the sense of the two institutions collaborate in R&D activities. AITCRC is one of seven centers set up by the Ministry of Knowledge and Economy of South Korea to the convergence of Information Technologies. Carlos Ramos notes that this collaborative agreement will allow the IPP to participate in major projects of R&D financed by South Korea, having been already decided to include IPP as an international consultant in the area of Information Technology for a major project that will involve more than 80 Korean researchers and will be coordinated by Prof. Hyun Yoe. This is already a first result of the international project EKRUCAmI (Europe -Korea Research on Ubiquitous Computing and Ambient Intelligence), led by Carlos Ramos , and that beyond IPP as coordinator also involves the University of Salamanca, Catholic University of Daegu and the National University of Sunchon.
